I have been in the Harper Lab for almost two years now and in that time I have worked on several projects. First, we looked at the effect of simulated gastric fluids on the agglomeration of nanoplastics. Then we moved on to looking at the effect that nanoplastic particles would have on digestive enzymes. My most current project is taking a look at the size- and shape-dependent toxicity of oxidant-resistant silver nanoparticles. I have presented my research at multiple OSU events and one annual conference from the Society of Toxicology. I am currently on the path to getting a PharmD and becoming a pharmacist.
