- Dr. Stacey Harper received a five-year, $1.9 million award as an Outstanding New Environmental Scientist (ONES) from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and was selected as 2013 recipient of the L.L. Stewart Faculty Scholars Award which recognizes an outstanding faculty members at Oregon State University.

Education/Background:
Currently, I am a junior majoring in Environmental Engineering. I am also part of the Honor's College and MECOP Internship Program. Additionally, I am the treasurer for OSU's section of the Society of Women Engineers.
Research Interest/Focus:
My research focuses on the toxicological effects of micro/nano plastics and pesticides on aquatic organisms. I recently participated in the Johnson Internship. My project investigated how the toxicity of a hydrophobic pesticide was impacted by the presence of traditional and biodegradable plastic particles.
