- Dr. Stacey Harper received a five-year, $1.9 million award as an Outstanding New Environmental Scientist (ONES) from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and was selected as 2013 recipient of the L.L. Stewart Faculty Scholars Award which recognizes an outstanding faculty members at Oregon State University.

Education/Background:
Currently seeking a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Spanish at Oregon State University. Outside of the lab and class, I serve as a First Year Representative of OSU's Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering Student Club. I also work as a Student Activist Coordinator for Amnesty International mostly with their student groups and Area Coordinators.
Research Interest/Focus:
I am interested in toxicology and the chemical effects of nanoparticles on the environment however I am just starting to find a focus. After college I plan on attending graduate school and receiving a PhD. With my work, I hope to use my communication skills to show the public the advancements of science.
